Returning Home

"Returning Home" is an exhibition and my journey through time, memory, and love. Built on the archive of my father, Bajram Zymberi (1950–2023), it brings to life the everyday moments he captured through his lens between the 1970s and 1990s. As one of the first photographers in Gjilan, he didn't just take photos. He preserved emotions, stories, and fleeting glimpses of a world that once was.

His archive is filled with family gatherings, moments from the city streets, theater performances, celebrations with friends, and the kind of memories that tend to slip away with time. After his passing, I turned to his photographs and footage, searching for meaning through his eyes: to reconnect, to understand, and to find purpose in the life he once lived.

This exhibition is not just a tribute to my father; it's my way of bringing him home, one last time.
